Champagne Laval Louis
Settled in the heart of the GREAT MARNE VALLEY the House LAVAL-LOUÏS, created from the merger of the wine estates LOUÏS PHILIPPE and LAVAL MARIUS created themselves by their wine grower ancestors many centuries ago, claims its terroir and its expertise of passionate wine growers.
WINE GROWER, the House LAVAL-LOUÏS cultivates 4 hectares 40 of vineyard located above CUMIERES in the terroirs of CUMIERES, DAMERY and HAUTVILLERS facing SOUTH.
A part of our production is sold after the harvest and we market directly 15 to 20,000 bottles per year.
We use in the wine-producing holding an environmentally-friendly growing:
- Fertilization justified by plot with soil analysis and according to the needs of our vines
- Soil maintenance: weeding on a part of the wine estate.
- Natural cover crop regulated by mowing
- Monitoring of the plots by the GDV, official body which is attached to the CIVC (Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne).
This allows to protect our grapes preserving at the same time our environment, and to harvest at the moment of optimal ripeness.
After a manual harvest, the three champenois varietals (Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay) are slowly crushed in the traditional press of the House.
The wine is aged according to the ancient methods passed down from father to son, in other words as naturally as possible. You will enjoy a CHAMPAGNE with a deep colour and a terroir taste characteristic of CUMIERES.
From the blending of several years and different varietals, our Champagnes complete their maturity in bottles for around three years in our chalk cellars. We produce genuine cuvées with an unique personality for your greatest pleasure.
